Project Title: Center of Entrepreneurship and Executive Development

The objectives of this project are to: catalyze entrepreneurial growth by providing entrepreneurs the practical capacity building training they need to take their SMEs ‘to the next level’; to create and build an entrepreneur community (local & regional) by providing a real and ultimately virtual networking platform that help entrepreneurs make ‘connections’ with ‘peer’ entrepreneurs who assume similar risks. Enable access to finance by helping position the entrepreneur and his/her capital, then connecting them with providers. Provide international market access by conducting bi -lateral and regional meetings of like-minded entrepreneurs, and personally help multinational entrepreneurs find the partners and customers they need to expand.

Project Title: Business Support and Learning for Growth

Jointly with CEED Macedonia we implemented an EU Funded Project “Business Support and Learning for Growth” during the period of 2 years. This project was implemented in the Kosovo economic region center including the following municipalities: Prishtina, Gracanica, Fushe-Kosovo, Podujevo, Drenas, Obilic and Shtime. The main goal of the Business Support and Learning for Growth Project is the creation of new and sustained jobs by project activities that will support the entrepreneurial spirit in the country and accelerate the development and establishment of start-ups with high potential for growth.

Project Title: Business Consultancy Services for Young Entrepreneurs, Through USAID YEP
Duration of Project: September 2011- January 2012
USAID YEP supports young entrepreneurs to develop new businesses by encouraging innovative ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit among young Kosovars through financial and technical assistance. To identify viable businesses, in order to provide financial support, the Needs Assessment Surveys has been conducted to 120 businesses in 7 municipalities of Kosovo. After the Needs Assessment Survey, the gaps and challenges have been identified in the Business Plans. In order to eliminate the gaps and better develop the business plans CEED Kosovo provided professional consulting services to 57 participants in marketing, finance, product development, market analysis, management, and production processes. As a final stage of the program, the candidates are trained on their presenting abilities, to be well prepared when in front of grant committee.

Project Title: Consulting services for young entrepreneurs- Entrepreneurship Program Phase II

Consultation Services for Young Entrepreneurs -Entrepreneurship Training Program Phase II- CEED Kosovo has provided business consultancy to start-up businesses that are part program phase II of BSC Kosovo. The aim of the project was to up-skill young managers/entrepreneurs in better management and business growth. CEED Kosovo has provided professional consultancy services to 60 companies, in the field of marketing, sales financial management, management and leadership.

Project Title: Human Resource Development Initiative
Duration of Project: July 2013 – July 2016
1. CEED Kosovo has conducted a pilot project “Human Resource Organization within Business in Kosovo” under the EYE project financed by SDC- Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo. CEED has assessed 30 lead firms in Kosovo and 5 HR consultancy firms/consultants. Through the Needs Assessment we have identified and analyzed human capital needs within chosen organizations, company growth strategies, organizational development with emphasis on human resource relations, and labor market issues. As a result, we have drafted a report with findings and recommendations drawn from the Needs Assessment of the lead firms and HR consultancy firms.
2. CEED Kosovo co-facilitated the HCDI program in cooperation with EYE project – financed by the Swiss Development Cooperation Office in Kosovo. The goal of the program is to address the lack of demand for human capital development among companies, as well as, the lack of supply of HR services in the Kosovo market. The project provided 6 interactive workshops led by three international HR consultants to the Lead companies in Kosovo. The project offered the opportunity to the lead firms to receive in-company diagnostic service, and in-house consultancy service to contribute into human capital development within their companies. Further, local consulting firms and consultants were offered the opportunity to attended 5 interactive workshops to advance their HR consulting skills, as well as, join team of regional and international consultants for the in-house diagnosis and consulting within Kosovo’s lead firms.
3. CEED Kosovo is carrying out several activities for successful facilitation of entry / expansion of Companies into the business service market, and to tackle the core constrains related to business service market. The activities will showcase inspiring business leaders in Kosovo and in the region; speed dating activities for entrepreneurs to meet Business Service Providers with a track record of success.The implementation of this intervention by CEED follows the Market System Development approach, whereby development interventions are guided by high quality and continuous analysis which feeds into the design of strategies and action plans.

Project Title: Enhancing Entrepreneurship and Business Growth in Kosovo-EEBG
Duration of Project: October 2014 – December 2015
CEED Kosovo in cooperation with SPARK and BiD Network is implementing the EEBG project. The overall objective of the project will be to accelerate economic growth, and job creation through encouragement of sustainable entrepreneurship. The project provides a unique opportunity to increase the capacities of the entrepreneurs to find efficient investment opportunities and matchmaking with financial institutions, as well as, assist entrepreneurs expand their business network. The program includes :
8 Workshops with different entrepreneurs and business experts; Business Support Services , consultancy within the company; Exposure to local and international investors , and matchmaking with financial institutions in the country ; Networking Meetings , B2B ( Business to Business ) with local/ regional companies, and investment forums and conferences held in the country and the region .

Project Title: Establish Farmers Mobile Market in Prishtinë/Pristina

CEED Kosovo jointly with Municipality of Prishtina and Woman in Business has been awarded funding from European Union to implement the project “Farmers Mobile Market in Pristina”. CEED Kosovo, co-aplicant to the project will be responsible for delivering training’s to farmers on soft skills, promoting employment and Visibility. This project duration implementation is January 2015- December 2016. The overall objective of the action is to improve economic development conditions for local agricultural businesses and farmers to reach regional markets and stimulate import substitution. The specific objective of the project is to re-vitalise rural economy in region Centre and other Kosovo regions by creating new job opportunities, particularly for young farmers in order to reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty and reduce migration.

Project Title: Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development Programme
Duration of Project: September 2015 – March 2017
CEED Kosovo is providing mentoring services to the newly established businesses under the Self-Employment Programme, operating in the municipalities within the regions of Prishtine/Pristina, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Prizren and northern Mitrovice/a. CEED Kosovo is mentoring 43 start-ups, for a period of one year, at an amount of at least 50 hours of mentoring per start-up or a total of 2150 hours of overall mentoring services. The mentoring involve provision of services aimed at developing the company’s operations, market positioning, contacts with partners locally and nationally, identifying suppliers and sub-contractors, marketing and promotion, facilitating contacts with local authorities and agencies, financing institutions, etc.

Project Title: Strengthening Climate Change Agenda in Kosovo
Duration of Project: April 2016 – October 2016
CEED Kosovo is implementing the UNDP project, Strengthening Climate Change Agenda in Kosovo, which intends to contribute to effective implementation of cross-sectoral, gender -responsive, climate change policies; and an increase in the number of people who adopt behaviors that enhance resilience to climate change. The objective of this project is to raise awareness in the general public on the issues of climate change, better understanding of how a changing climate will affect the communities, economy, agriculture, and lifestyle; and, to showcase what kind of measures can be adopted to reduce climate vulnerability and increase resilience, through demonstration projects on forestry protection and water conservation.
This project is financed by “Austrian Development Cooperation”, supported by “UNDP”, and implemented by “CEED Kosova”.
